It's foggy in winter, muggy in summer, and is closer in outlook, as well as distance, to London than to Palermo. This is no city of peeling palazzi, cobbled piazzas and la dolce vita, but one in which time is money, the pace fast, and where consumerism and the work-ethic rule the lives of its power-dressed citizens.

Around every turn of the famous "road of a thousand bends", one catches a new view of ancient fishing towns clinging to the rugged bluffs like mother-of-pearl sea creatures left behind by gargantuan tides. Visit Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Capri
» Capri villa -Twenty miles from Naples, rising abruptly out of the azure gulf, is the little island of Capri, its shape something like a gigantic hour glass. It seems to exercise a peculiar fascination on all visitors to Naples, and few can withstand the temptation of braving the not always pacific Bay of Naples, in order to visit the island which has inspired so many pens. The special characteristic of the Capri climate is the softness and mildness of the atmosphere. Without being actually relaxing, it is not so stimulating as the cinque-terre climate. It is also very equable, and there is no unwholesome chill at sunset, as in the former place, or even at Naples, only twenty miles off.

The fantasy and the geniality of their creations, which colours are very simple like the green emerald, the white and the yellow, always suggest the summer fashion.
» Sorrento villa -The origin and name of Sorrento are lost between myth and historical reality. There is certainly a connection with the myth of the sirens, so widely believed around the gulf of Naples ever since ancient times. The sirens were mythical beings, half woman and half bird, whose singing caused sailors to run their vessels aground, on the rocks.

There are rolling hills, old towns like Assisi, the place of birth of St. Francis, Gubbio with its medieval towers such as the Torre de Porta Romana or Orvieto, a city that goes back to the times of the Etruscans.
» toscana villa -The Tuscan cities such as Florence, Pisa, Lucca, or Siena house many sights and all have an old historic town where you can wander around for hours.
